Virginia “Carol” Boone, 83, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her residence. She was born on September 11, 1942, in Clarksdale, IL, to the late Rev. Harold Steven Coy and Myrtle Irene Enlow.

Carol worked for Georgia Pacific for over twenty years and later worked in private home healthcare for another eight years. She was a selfless person and cared deeply for her patients.  She was a former member of the Eagles Club, and in her spare time, she loved bowling, crocheting, and was known as the “Bingo Queen”. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and is dearly missed.

Carol is survived by her children: Sue Hunt (Tracey); Ron Beesley; and Pamela Fanning (Brian Murphy) all of Taylorville, IL; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by three children, Michael Wasson, Robert Wasson, and Kenneth Boone.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
