Mildred Bess Olsen, 76 of Morrisonville, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in her home.  She was born on October 16, 1948, in Pekin, the daughter of Earl Bruce and Bessie (Smith) Olsen.  Mildred previously worked at Casey’s and IGA in Morrisonville as well as the Shell station in Raymond. 

She is survived by her fiancé: David Mullen of Morrisonville; children: Richard Thousand (Tracye) of Yukon, Oklahoma, Regina Thousand (Derek) of Decatur, Tammy Thousand (Jeremy) of East Peoria, Chad Olsen (Megan) of East Peoria, and Carrie Speeks (Rex) of Farmersville; 10 grandchildren; 8 bonus grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; sister: Glenna Gray of Tilton; half-sister: Carla “C.J.” Opper of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

Mildred will be cremated, and her family will host a celebration of life at a later date.  Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville is assisting the family with arrangements.
