Rhonda (Plopper) Corbin, 63, of Morrisonville, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at her residence. She was born on December 25, 1961, to John J. and Caroleann (Fixal) Plopper. She married Daniel J. Corbin on September 10, 2010, in Taylorville, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2015.
After graduating high school, Rhonda worked for the State of Illinois and retired in 2016. She had a passion for “junking” and was always on the lookout for treasures at garage sales or thrift stores. She had a knack for refinishing furniture and for turning her finds into something new to gift to friends or loved ones. Rhonda was known for her wit and sense of humor. She loved to play pranks and share jokes with those around her. She especially delighted in teaching kids the silly “Hearse Song”. Above all, her greatest joy was being surrounded by the love and laughter of her family.
She is survived by her children: Jeremy (Rebecca) Toombs of Bristol, UK; Lorenzo Olvera of Taylorville, IL; Oscar Olvera of Panama Beach, FL; Natasha (Josh) Oller of Morrisonville, IL; Joey Ballion of Taylorville, IL; Katie Davis of Taylorville, IL; Tina Albright of Morrisonville, IL; grandchildren: Zayne Olvera; Zoey Snow; Liam Davis; Izick Olvera; Eli Davis; Jaxson Olvera; Sophia Olvera; Emmy Olvera; Jade Olvera; Maxie Olvera; her mother: Caroleann Plopper; sisters: Madonna Brown; Leeann Carithers; Cindy Barricklow; Tammy Bess; and her brothers: Tim Plopper; David Plopper; and John Plopper.
She was preceded in death by her father: John Plopper; husband: Daniel Corbin; grandson: Zach Snow; brothers: Mike Plopper and Tom Plopper; and her sister: Therese Bailey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Morrisonville American Legion, located at 607 Ricks Street, Morrisonville.
