Sandra Jo “Jody” Brockamp, 63, of Greenup, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Charleston, IL. She was born on February 15, 1962, in Taylorville, to the late John L. and Wanda B. (Ashby) Christian. She worked as a dietary aid for a nursing home. She cared deeply for her patients and showed them the same love and compassion that she had for her own family. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and she was a good friend to many.

She is survived by her daughter: Christina (J.D.) Carter of Greenup, IL; grandchildren: Cooper and Bailey Carter of Greenup, IL; brother: John (Angela) Christian of Taylorville, IL; sister-in-law: Karen Christian of Morrisonville, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Leslie Black, brother: Jeff Christian, and her sister, Beth Pratt.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
