Leslie A. Foraker, 48 of Millersville, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on October 11, 1977, in Springfield, the daughter of James E. and Patricia A. (Thomason) Olive. She married Aaron Foraker on May 21, 1999, in Taylorville. She graduated from Taylorville High School in 1995. Leslie worked for 18 years as a dedicated and caring dispatcher with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and most recently as the office manager at Brent West Trucking. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and spent many years at the Christian County Fairgrounds, along with her parents, setting up and serving through the fair.
Leslie loved the outdoors, sitting by the fire with family and friends, camping, and hanging out on the lake. Leslie especially loved being surrounded by her family, friends and all the kiddos whom she considered her own. Another of Leslie's biggest loves was animals, where some days she would bring the strays home for adoption.
She is survived by her husband: Aaron Foraker of Millersville; father: Jim Olive (Debbie) of Taylorville; brother: James “J.C.” Olive (Jessica) of Taylorville; several nieces and nephews including Alexus “Allie” Olive; several cousins including: Susan Olive; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Les and Karen Foraker; brothers-in-law: Jim Foraker (Valerie) and Troy Foraker (Mary); and God daughters: Jayden Casad (Tyson) and Lydia Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her mother, aunt: Carol Ambler, and uncle: Jerry Olive.
Leslie will be cremated, and a visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at McClure Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Memorials may be made to Christian County Animal Control.
