Erin E. Reed, 51 of Blue Mound, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in her home.  She was born on July 2, 1974, in Moline, Illinois.  Erin was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Cuyahoga Community College.  She worked as a lab technician at ADM and previously as a dialysis technician.  She had a great love for animals of all kinds, especially dogs and cats. 

She is survived by her mother: Carole Reed of Taylorville; siblings: Kelly Millburg (Paul) of Taylorville and Craig Reed (Sonja) of Macon; nieces and nephews: David Thomas (Courtney), Doug Thomas (Aspa), Baylee Bedinger (Stefan), and Chloe Reed; 11 great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her birth father: Carrol E. Curry; and grandparents: Herman and Madeline Buckler and Milburn and Sabra Curry. 

Erin will be cremated, and a private family graveside inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian County Animal Control.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
