Linda Elaine Farris, 65, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on November 8, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1960, to William Albert and Ann Marie (McGlothin) Ledferd. On March 4, 1978, she married Robert Farris and they spent 47 happy and loving years together.

Linda worked as a CNA for Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She cared dearly for her patients just as she did for her own family. She would do anything to help someone in need. Above all, she loved family gatherings, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter: Bobbie (Aaron) Dean of Taylorville, IL; bonus daughter: Sharon Lawrence (Andrew) of Girard, IL; grandchildren: Blake Durbin (Emily Dancer); Michael Durbin (Arieal Dubay); Laina Durbin; Lakota Stewart; Kayla Lawrence; great-grandchildren; Ezra Dancer, Lela Dancer, Kylo Durbin, Ezreal Ishmael, her father: William Ledferd as well as her two siblings: Bobby Ledferd and Angel Goodman.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother: Ann Marie Ledferd; brother: Rodney Ledferd; and her sister: Diane Ledferd.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rawley Farris and Pastor James Bowsher officiating. Interment will follow at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the donor’s charity of choice.
