Daniel Ream Jr., 54, of Taylorville, IL, passed away at his home on Friday, November 21, 2025. He was born on August 31, 1971, in Springfield, IL, to Daniel Ream Sr. and Caroline Vancil. He married Ruth Summers on June 25, 2005, and they spent 20 beautiful years together.

Daniel proudly served in the U.S. Army. He later worked as a machine operator.  Daniel was a true family man and was dedicated to caring for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved caring for his snakes and spending free time with his family and friends. He is missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife: Ruth Ream of Taylorville, IL; children: Alaina (Justin) Albert; Mariah (Gideon) Mead; Jessica Ream; Zachary Ream; Jenniffer Ream; Alexander Fanning; grandchildren: Beckett Albert; Willow Albert; Karyson Mead; Carter Mead; Jayson Mead; Madyn Ream; Daxyn Ream; Cannon Fanning; Irelee Fanning; Atticus Fanning; Liam Kinch; his mother: Caroline Ream; sister: Tricia (Shawn) Wells; as well as his nephew: Michael Wells.

He was preceded in death by his father: Daniel Ream Sr.

Per the family’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held on December 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads Apostolic Church in Taylorville.
