Jerry Bob Ridgley

Jerry Bob Ridgley, 43 of Taylorville, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  He was born on August 2, 1982, in Marlin, Texas.  Jerry worked as an automotive technician and area manager for Precision Diagnostics. Our beloved “Hoss” rode on to his next great adventure far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty, laughter, and unshakeable love. A proud member of VFW Post 4495 Patriot Riders and an avid motorcycle enthusiast, he was most at home on the open road or in the garage wrenching on his bike. He was a loving father, a devoted brother, uncle, and son, and an absolutely amazing friend whose presence made every gathering brighter. Known for his easygoing spirit and his favorite saying, “It is what it is,” he met life’s twists and turns with strength and grit. Whether he was going out with friends or spending time with his son, he lived fully, generously, and with a heart as big as his Harley. As we come together to honor his life, we invite everyone to celebrate him in true “Hoss” fashion—please wear your best Harley-Davidson or biker gear to the service.

He is survived by his parents: Scott and Beth Kuntzman of Stonington; children: Grace Ridgley of Peoria, and Brody Ridgley, Savanna Ruppert and Hunter Sanders of Rolla, Missouri; siblings: Jonathan Ridgley of Stonington, Christine Winters (Russel) of Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, Ciara Puckett (Carson) of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Bryan Kuntzman (Jaz) of Stonington, Heather Lindahl (Nathan) of Assumption, and Adam Kuntzman (Zoe) of Macon.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Geraldine Lawrence, Jerry Bob Puckett, Bud Kuntzman, and Nan Kuntzman; and biological father: Jeffrey Puckett.

Jerry will be cremated, and a memorial visitation for Jerry will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at McClure Funeral home in Taylorville.
