Donald William Scott, age 90 of Taylorville IL passed away at his home on Thursday November 20, 2025. He was born August 10, 1935, in Taylorville IL. The son of William and Margret Scott of Taylorville. He married Patsy Scott (Lederbrand) later on.

Donald worked as an official for IHSA for 60+ years and was involved in multiple hobbies. He enjoyed going to the fairs in the area. He ran the family farm for 50 years. Donald and Patsy had one child, Douglas Scott. He was known by his grandchildren as “Pam Paw”.

Donald is survived by his brothers Russel (Nancy) Scott of Irvine California, Leon (Bev) Scott of Taylorville IL; sister Mary Lou Clayton of Mt. Auburn, IL. He is also survived by his grandchildren Garrett (Madison) Scott of Fort Worth, TX and Dylan (Sydney) Scott of Taylorville IL. Donald is also survived by his great grandchildren Skylan and Addelyn Scott of Taylorville IL.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife Patsy, his parents, his daughter in law Shelli Scott, his brother Bernard Scott and sisters, Nide Grundy, Shirley Conway and Catherine Bailey.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home with Pastor Chad Zueck officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
