Regina Kay Calvert (nee Durbin) 79 of Foley Alabama, passed away at Baldwin Health Hospital, Foley Alabama on Sunday December 7, 2025.

Regina, known to all as Kay, was born on December 7, 1946 to Darrell and Josephine Durbin.  She graduated from Kincaid High School, Kincaid Illinois.    She married Larry Calvert on August 15, 1980 in Springfield Illinois and they moved to Foley, Alabama.   

Kay and Larry created and ran several businesses in Foley and Gulf Shores during their over 50 years in business.  Kay had a generous heart and through their business relationships, she and Larry employed many and developed proprieties using their construction businesses Calvert Construction and Layco Mining.  

She loved and was loved by many friends, especially important was her friends from the Madi Gras Group, The Mystic order of Shiners and her bunco girls. 

Kay is survived by her husband of 45 years Larry Calvert of Foley Alabama; Her children Steven (Monica) Turner of Foley Alabama; Ann (Joe) Estrada of Foley Alabama; Rich (Diane) Calvert of Ankeny, Iowa and Stormy (Shawn) Thomas of Concord, North Carolina

Her grandchildren, Jeffery (Kristy)McWilliams, Walter Jersild III,  James Jersild, Kaitlin (Caleb) Porter, DJ Turner, Skylar Thomas, Allie Calvert, Maci Calvert, Halden Calvert, Joseph Estrada, Nate Willey, Rachel Willey.

Her great grandchildren, Gracie McWilliams, Walter Jersild IV, Annalyssa Jersild, Jonah Estrada, Juliet Estrada.

Her brother, Jim (Martha) Durbin of Islamorada, Florida

Her nephew, James (Karina) Durbin of Midland, Texas

Kay was preceded in death by her parents Darrell and Josephine Durbin

A Funeral service will be held at 10 am on December 12 at Pine Rest Funeral Home 16541 US Hwy 98 Foley AL. with burial to follow at Pine Rest Cemetery in Foley.
