Biagio Frisina, 88, of Pana, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born on November 28, 1937, in Montevago, Sicily, to the late Pietro and Gaetana (Lamberta) Frisina. He married Susan Caldwell and she preceded him in death after many memorable years together.

Biago was an active member of The Eagles Club. He owned his own restaurant, Frisina Italian Restaurant, for nineteen years and he loved hosting and entertaining people.

He is survived by his sons: David Frisina of Pana, IL; Michael Frisina of Pana, IL; grandchildren: Justice Frisina; Adrien Frisina; Susan Hopkins; Kendal Manual; five great-grandchildren; as well as his brothers: Joe (Barbara) Frisina of Springfield, IL; and Frank (Rita) Frisina of Taylorville, IL.

Biagio was preceded in death by his parents, Pietro and Gaetana Frisina, his wife, Susan Frisina, his brother, Tony Frisina, and two sisters, Margherita Ognibene and Dominica “Mimie” Dunkirk.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. and interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
