Paul Joseph Chamness, 68, of Kincaid, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Pana Health and Rehab in Pana, IL. He was born on July 13, 1957, in Taylorville, IL, to the late William and Betty (Roberts) Chamness. He married Shelly Orr in 2005, and they later divorced.

Paul worked as a Brick Layer and was an active member of the Bricklayers Local #8 for over twenty years. In his younger years, Paul enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing. He loved watching NASCAR and was an avid sports fan. In addition to his love for sports, Paul was a motorcycle enthusiast. He owned several throughout his life and enjoyed taking rides and working on them in his free time.  

He is survived by his children: Damon (Barbara) Chamness of Tovey, IL; his former partner; Shelly Orr of Kincaid, IL; grandchild: Meelah Baker of Tovey, IL; as well as his siblings: Lori Law (David) and Brad Chamness (Tina), both of Taylorville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Gary, Mike, Sam, Jeff, Greg, and Danny Chamness.

Per the family’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held at this time.
