Barbara F. Miller, 84 of Taylorville, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on February 4, 1942, in White Hall, the daughter of Gerald and Evelyn Maxine (Crabtree) Newingham.  In the 1970’s, Barbara worked as a telephone operator for GTE Phone Company in Jacksonville.  She later became a beautician and owned and operated Barb’s Beauty Boutique until she retired. 

She is survived by daughter: Tracy Browning; grandchildren: Amber Brown, Ashley Rynders, Shanae Smith, Jacy Smith, Dustin Smith, and Jordyn Browning; great grandchildren: Elizabeth Striplin, Bradley Striplin, Heaven Lambert-Miller, Faith Lambert-Miller, Cira Bright, Keegan Rynders, Braxton Dailey, and Rozlynn Dailey; half-sisters: Isabelle “Lisa” Wilkinson (Mike Bauser) and Vickie Cleer; and half-brother: Joe Newingham (Melissa).  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Beverly Cross; brother: Billy W. Jr. Newingham, half-brothers: Carl Newingham and Gerald Newingham; half-sisters: Wanda Newingham and Kathy Summers; and grandson: Chase Davis.

Mrs. Miller will be cremated, and the family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
