William E. Durham, 76 of Taylorville, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.  He was born on December 7, 1949, in Taylorville, the son of Russell Eugene and Mary Janiece (Mosley) Durham.  He graduated from Taylorville High School in 1969.  Bill enjoyed spending time shooting at the range.  He was a passionate automobile enthusiast and a member of the local car club.  Most recently he worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts.

He is survived by his children: Jennifer Durham of Wapella and Jason Durham (Stephanie) of Taylorville; grandchildren: Bailee Perry, Madison Durham, Grant Durham, and Connor Durham; siblings: Robert Durham of Texas, James Durham of Arizona, Mary Norris of Taylorville, Donna Durham of Taylorville, and Brenda Durham of Pana; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bill will be cremated and his family will host a celebration of his life at a later date.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
