Joseph Edward Frost Sr., 63, of Tovey, IL, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 28, 1963, in Taylorville, IL, to James Nolan Frost and Kathleen Margaret Ahearn. On November 28, 2012, he married Nongkarn Panmod, in Surin, Thailand, and they spent many loving years together before his passing.

Joseph proudly and selflessly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his years of service, Joseph worked as a machinist and airplane mechanic. In his free time, he loved gardening, fishing, and working on his house and car.

Surviving is his wife: Nongkarn Frost of Tovey, IL; son: Maximus T. Frost of Tovey, IL; as well as his siblings: Margaret Wheatley of Charleston, IL; and Robert Frost of Albany, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Kathleen Frost; children: Breanna Marie Hogge; Joseph Frost Jr.; brother: James G. Frost; and his father-in-law: Sombun Panmod.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2:00-3:45 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. A prayer service will begin at 3:45 p.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. 

Memorials may be made to Joseph’s family to assist with funeral expenses.
