Paul N. McKinney, 90, Harristown, IL, passed away on March 26, 2026, at The Loft Rehab Center in Decatur. He was born on November 30, 1935, to the late Paul and Naomi (Fonner) McKinney. On July 24, 1954, he married the love of his life, Alma Rae Krall and they spent many beautiful years together before she preceded him in death on February 28, 2022.

Paul was the founder, owner, and operator of McKinney Disposal for many years. He took pride in serving his community and dedicated 21 years to working as road commissioner for Harristown Township. In addition, he served on the Niantic Harristown School Board. Above all, Paul was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and is missed dearly by his loved ones.

Surviving are his children: Deb (Don) Rapp of Boonville, MO; Peg McKinney (Rich Wines) of St. Elmo, IL; Bird (Bonnie) McKinney of Harristown, IL; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as 1 great-great-grandchild.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Naomi McKinney; his wife: Alma “Rae Rae” McKinney; and two sons: Thomas Lane McKinney and James Kelly McKinney.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 11:00-12:00 noon, at Camp Wilson Foursquare Church in Harristown, IL. A funeral service will begin at noon with Reverend Brian Canaday officiating. Following the service, Paul will be laid to rest next to his wife at Harristown Cemetery.

Memorials in his honor may be made to Camp Wilson Foursquare Church.
