JoAnn Janesh, 89 of Nokomis, passed away in her home on Sunday, April 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

JoAnn was born on January 7, 1937, to John and Wilma (Hefley) Larcher.  She graduated from Kincaid High School.  She married Joe Dietl and they later divorced.  They had two daughters, Janice Kay and JoLynn.  She married Philip Janesh in 1979, and he preceded her in death in April 1983.  JoAnn worked for 58 years for the rock quarry in Nokomis, retiring December 31, 2023. 

She leaves behind a daughter: JoLynn of Nokomis; granddaughters: Ashley (Brian) Harrison of Taylorville, Jennifer (Eric) Sneddon of Blue Mound; great granddaughters: Kaleigh and Karli Harrison; nieces: Vicky (Jim) Issacs and Tammy Larcher; nephew: John Larcher; great nieces: Annie and Emily Larcher; great nephews: Rich Payne and Joseph Larcher; brother-in-law: Chuck Heiple; many rock quarry and trucker friends, and beloved cat, Charlie. 

Proceeding her in death are her parents, stepdad: Jeff Henley; sister: Patricia Heiple; brother: Don and wife Barbara Larcher; daughter: Janice Sneddon; grandson: Aaron Sneddon; and great nephew: Robert Keppler. 

A private graveside service per her wishes will be held in Rochester Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
