Kevin Lynn Sneddon, 60, of Taylorville, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 20, 1965, in Taylorville, to the late Peter Douglas and Florence Ethyl (Emerson) Sneddon. On May 18, 2019, he married Amanda Noel Strunk, and they spent several loving years together before his passing.

Kevin graduated from Taylorville High School and went on to work for Gordon Olds, working his way up to body shop manager. He had a passion for working on cars and held a special place in his heart for animals. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and grew plenty of weeds along the way. Above all, he cherished his family and the memories made over the years.

Surviving is his wife: Amanda Sneddon of Taylorville, IL; children: Rachel Sneddon of Taylorville, IL; Peter Sneddon of Taylorville, IL; Zachary (Tabitha) Sneddon of Edinburg, IL; Kadyn Sneddon of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren: Jaxson Sneddon; Journey Sneddon; siblings: John (Bev) Sneddon; Rick (Betty) Sneddon; and Cinda (Dan) Sausaman; as well as his four beloved dogs: Abby, Ellie, Millie, and Scooter.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents.

Per the family’s wishes, private services will be held at a later date.
