Vincent Otto Weimann, 63, of Taylorville, died April 14, 2026, in his home.

 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 

Vince was born on July 19, 1962 in Taylorville, IL, the son of Jessie Otto and Rosalie Ann (Durham) Weimann.  He married Brenda Dorr on August 30, 1997 in Taylorville, IL.  She survives.

 

Vince was a member of Knights Templar Church and worked for the Christian County Mental Health Department. He also owned and operated Pirates Cove on Lake Taylorville. Vince was a gifted artist with a love for tinkering. He could often be found riding his Harley or Slingshot in search of the area’s best tenderloins, pizzas, and burgers. He loved playing Santa, especially for his grandchildren, and treasured the time he spent with them.

 

Surviving are his wife, Brenda: step-daughters: Lisa (Rodney) Sheedy and Shannon (Clint) Emmons, all of Taylorville, IL; step-son, Scott (Chris) Woods of Tovey, IL; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters: Jessica Adamson of Arkansas, Katrina (Scott) Forbes of Indiana, Melanie (Rusty) Westbrook of Taylorville, IL and Cassandra (Donnie) Stephan of Taylorville, IL.

 

Preceding him in death are his parents and sisters, Gail Murphy and Sabrina Wiseman.
