Kenneth Fisher

Kenneth Edward Fisher, 68, of Taylorville, Illinois, passed away at 1:23 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville.

Kenneth was born on April 14, 1958, in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of Robert Paul Fisher and Shirley (Markwell) Fisher. He married Tineal Diane Kalka on September 7, 1983, in Carlinville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2022.

Kenneth worked as a laborer throughout his life. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville. He was also an active member of the Taylorville Eagles #1425, where he served in numerous leadership roles including chaplain, trustee, vice president, president, and past president of the Eagle Riders.

Kenneth enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children: Kent (Kimberly) Cook of Goodyear, Arizona; Christopher Fisher of St. Louis, Missouri; David Fisher of Tennessee; and Crystal (Mark) Young of Taylorville, Illinois. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mickayla (Ryan) Cook of Taylorville, Vincent Cook of Warrensburg, David Fisher Jr. of Springfield, Isabelle Fisher of Springfield, and Kayleigh Young of Taylorville; great-grandchildren: Kason Cook, Kaulder Brown, Rylen Donaldson, Blaine Donaldson, and Reid Donaldson; sisters: Debra Fisher-Knowles of Mt. Auburn, Sandra (Anthony) Gudavshy of Harristown, and Michelle (Michael) Abbott of Mechanicsburg; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tineal Fisher; his brother, Daniel Shafer; his infant sister, Judith Maye Fisher; and his grandson, Koty Cook.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Prayer services will begin at 4:45 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father John Burnette officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School.
