Charles R. Durbin, 79 of Taylorville, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in his home.  He was born on April 30, 1947, in Morrisonville, the son of Aloysius and Mary (Norris) Durbin.  He married Patricia Crepin on February 8, 1975, in Taylorville.  Charles worked for Curvey Real Estate.  He was a talented welder and loved spending time outdoors, especially while fishing. 

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Durbin of Taylorville; sons: James Crepin and Russell Durbin (Amanda) both of Taylorville; siblings: Eloise Davis of Kincaid, Susan Gensler of Taylorville, and Eugene Durbin (Judy) of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: James Durbin, Clarence Durbin, Aloysius Durbin, Jerry Durbin, Joe Durbin, and infant sister: Pauline Durbin.

Mr. Durbin will be cremated, and a graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville with Pastor Eric Stilwell officiating.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
