Patricia Elaine McWard, 83 of Stonington passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 5:07 p.m. at her home in Stonington. She was born on August 22, 1942, in Stonington, IL, the daughter of Kenneth Carl and Louise Lena (Schubach) Wiseman. She married Darrell McWard on July 15, 1961, in Taylorville, IL and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2017. Patty was a member of the Old Stonington Baptist Church and the Taylorville Moose Lodge.
Patty is survived by her Daughter: Mary Louise Alvey of Taylorville, IL; Granddaughter: Ashley Alvey of Stonington, IL; Brothers: Dick Wiseman of Stonington, James Wiseman of Taylorville, Tom Wiseman of Stonington, Tim Wiseman of Taylorville, Dale Wiseman of Taylorville, Kenneth Wiseman of Mulberry Grove; Sister: Josie Rodden of Bulpitt; Aunt: Joann Decker, and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Brian McWard, Brothers: Ray, Gene and John, Sisters: Cleta and Beulah, and Granddaughter: Elizabeth Alvey
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
