Evelyn K. Waller, 84, of Taylorville, IL, formerly of Chatham, IL, passed away at 12:39 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.

Evelyn was born June 30,1942, in Schuyler County, IL, the daughter of James and Alta (McKinnon) Waller. She made her living as an accountant for the Illinois Department of Public Aid in Springfield. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed reading.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Mary Kay BonDurant of Divernon; a son, Carl (Shawn) Haney of Normal, IL; step-son, Dean (Cynthia) Haney of Buda, TX; four grandchildren, Camden, Calvin, Felix and Ethan Haney all of Normal, IL; two step-grandchildren, Zachary and Emily; two sisters, June (Bennie) Mecum of Roseville, IL, and Della Mae Mohr of Arbela, MO; two sisters-in-law, Pat Waller and Clydene Waller; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Elmo, Merle, Paul, Glen and William Waller; and six sisters, Virginia Helms, Barbara Shook, Anna Belle McCoy, Beulah Waller, Imogene Plate and Helen Baldwin; son-in-law, Robert BonDurant Jr; and her step-son, Dale Haney.

Cremation care has been accorded. As per Evelyn’s wishes, no formal services are planned.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
