LeVan A. Buesinger of Taylorville

LeVan A. Buesinger, 95, Taylorville passed away at 4:04am Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.  She was born September 9, 1916 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Walter A. and Ella L. Marley Chausse.  In 1945 she married Glenn J. Buesinger and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1996.  Mrs. Buesinger's passion was her farm and her family.

She is survived by her sons; James P. Buesinger and wife Donna F. of Taylorville, John T. and companion Eyvonne Burgener of Taylorville, and Henry A. Buesinger and wife Linnae of Morrisonville; daughter-in-law, Linda L. Buesinger of Blue Mound; sister-in-law Beulah Buesinger of Taylorville; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Glenn David Buesinger, 1 granddaughter, 2 grandsons, 2 brothers and one sister. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, July 2, 2012, at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Fr. Alan Hunter officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.  Visitation will be held from 9:00am until time of service in the funeral home on Monday.

Linda Allison of Mt. Auburn

Linda Allison, 65, of Mt. Auburn passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. at her home. He was born July 3, 1946 in Arthur IL, the daughter of Jack and Aleita M. (Kestner) Catlin. She married Larry Allison on June 25, 1967 at the Blue Mound Christian Church in Blue Mound, IL. She was retired from the Sangamon County Probation Department, Adult Division. She loved gardening, working cross word puzzles, going to the lake and spending time with her family, friends, and grandkids. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Taylorville, IL; Kedron Chapter #536 Order of the Eastern Star, Mt. Auburn Nite Unite, Mt. Auburn Picnic Assn, 4-H Leader for 14 years, Past County Board Member for Christian County Home Extension, and Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by Husband Larry, Daughter Teresa (Bryce) Lovekamp of Pawnee, IL, Daughter in Law Leaan Allison of Mechanicsburg, IL, Grandchildren Leah and Myles Lovekamp of Pawnee, Brothers Doug Catlin of Springfield, IL, Jim (Nadyne) Catlin of Mowequa, Sisters Phyllis (Dean) Rosborough of Decatur, Helen (Kenny) Hohenstein of Mt. Auburn, Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She was preceded in death by Parents, daughter; Lee Ann Allison; son: Bradley Allison; brother Dean catlin; brothers in law Lester Allison and Bernie Onken.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville with funeral rites from the Order of the Eastern Star at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville with Pastor Philip Neumann officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

Craig Lee Waterman of Taylorville

Craig Lee Waterman, 60 of Taylorville passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at 8:40 AM at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehab. He was born April 20, 1952 at Taylorville the son of Jack and Shirley (Denning) Waterman. He was a carpenter and a member of Amvets Post 29 and a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by Son, Travis Waterman of Colfax, IL; Daughter, Christine Taylor of Morrisonville, IL; 2 Grandchildren; Brother, Larry (Nadine) Waterman of Taylorville, IL: Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents and 2 Brothers, Gary and Greg Waterman.

Graveside sercives will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Glenhaven Memorial Garden. Military honors will be conducted at the grave.

Dorothy E. Dexheimer of Taylorville

Dorothy E. Dexheimer, 94, of Taylorville, IL died at 1:12 pm Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born September 27, 1917 in Taylorville, the daughter of Charles Jacob and Lela Pearl Clouter Walter. On april 17, 1950 she married John Phillip Dexheimer in Taylorville and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1969. she was President of Dexheimer Farms, Inc. The original farm has been in the family for 147 years. In her early years she worked for the A.S.C.S. office, Sangamon Card Company and Brent's Abstract Company. she was a member of Rural youth, First Baptist Church in Taylorville where she served as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee. She was on the Board of Deaconesses of the Church and a member of the S.P.I. Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Christian County Lady Landowners, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and the Ladies of the Moose.

She is survived by her twin Sons: Lynn Dexheimer of Morrisonville, and Lee Dexheimer and wife Denise of Assumption. Grandchildren: Alyssa Dexheimer and John Dexheimer both of Assumption. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, 2 Brothers, and 1 son in infacy.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 27, at Taylorville Christan Church with Rev. Chad Foster and Rev. Dick Wamsley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held form 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday in McClure Funeral Home.

John Decowski of Nokomis

John Decowski, 71 of Nokomis passed away Sunday June 24, 2012 at 1:05 am. in Taylorville Memorial Hospital. He was born July 23, 1940 in Chicago, IL the son of John Alma Decowski. He married Vivian Montgomery on July 26, 1958 in Chicago, Il. He was a retired business man Restoring furniture and Antiques. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis, IL.

He is survived by his Spouse Vivian, Brother Jerrold (Donna) Decowski of Ottawa, IL. He was preceded by Parents, and a Son John Decowski Jr.

There will be no services and inurnments at a later date.

Leon Dale Hart of Taylorville

Leon Dale Hart, 51 of Taylorville passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:30am at the 600ft. east of 725 East Road, Edinburg, IL. He was born September 15, 1960 the son of Robert C. and Charlene (Wood) Hart, Step Mother Barbara Phillips of TX and Step Father Ron Cushman of Belvidere, IL. He was a Book Keeper at a window cleaning service. He was affiliated with the Church of Nazarene in Sherman, IL.

He is survived by Sons: Brandon D. Hart of Springfield, IL and Shane Atkins of Springfield, IL. Daughter Catilin Hart of Springfield, IL. Grandmother Cleda Ruth Wood of Taylorville. Brothers: Butch (Joann) Hart of Oxford, WI; Frank (Kim) Hart of Huston, TX; Chuck (Shelley) Hart of Poplar Grove, IL; Jeff (Julie) Hart of Auburn, IL. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Son: Zachery Hart; Grandfather: Charles M. Wood; Uncle: Norman Leon Wood.

Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2012 from 10:00am until 12:00 noon at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, IL. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 18, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, IL with Frank Hart officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Lloyd E. (Tiny) Buchholz of Nokomis

Lloyd E. (Tiny) Buchholz 89, of Nokomis, passed away June 12, 2012 at 7:30am in Nokomis Rehab and Health Care Center in Nokomis.  He was born September 11, 1922 in Rosamond TWP, the son of Walter E. and Mary (Schmidt) Buchholz.  He married Hilda Pierson in March, 1963 in South Fork United Methodist Church in Nokomis.  She preceded him in death in January, 1994.  He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a lifetime member of South Fork United Methodist Church in Rural Nokomis.

He is survived by sisters;  Eleanor Barnstable of Nokomis and Vivian Williams of Pana; 3 nieces, 2 great-nephews, 5 great nieces and 22 great-great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and niece Connie Williams. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11:00am at South Fork United Methodist Church, rural Nokomis with Rev. Rick Miles officiating.  Burial will be Kettlekamp Cemetery in rural Nokomis.  Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 9-11am at South Fork United Methodist Church in rural Nokomis.

Doris Mae Morgan of Taylorville

Doris Mae Morgan, 93, of Taylorville, IL died at 6:35 pm Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home. She was born October 27, 1918 in Taylorville, the daughter of Robert august and Charlotte Edwards Arbogast. On May 26, 1951 she married William Earl Morgan in Chicago and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2007. Mrs. Morgan had been employed by the School Districts as a cook for many years and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her childrean: Charlene Sexton Stanek of Joplin, MO, Richard Sexton of Midwest City, OK, and Kathy Mazzio of Garden Grove, CA. There are 6 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and  Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 Brothers: Ray George, Earl Arbogast, and Roland Arbogast, and 2 Sisters: Roma Wilhelmi and Gloria Gesell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 11 at McClure Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service.

William Lowe of Taylorville

William Lowe, 65, of Taylorville, passed away June 6, 2012 at 2:27am in Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.  He was born February 9, 1947 in Chicago, IL., the son of William H. and Virginia Baker Lowe.  He was a retired printer at P & S Printing. 

He is survived by brother, Marshal (Donna) Lowe of Taylorville; sister, Loretta Allen of Elmhurst, IL.; Aunt Ada Baker of Taylorville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 10:00am at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

Clarence George Ted Schneider of Nokomis

Clarence George "Ted" Schneider, 91, of Nokomis, passed away June 5, 2012 at 6:15am at his residence.  He was born November 30, 1920 in Greenwood Township, Nokomis, the son of George and Emma (Brockman) Schneider.  He married Joyce Darnell in December, 1946 in Nokomis.  He was a retired farmer.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nokomis.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Betty (Donnie) Meadows of Palmer and Barb (Dave) Spears of Nokomis; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Irene, Olga, Ethel, Anna and Frieda; brothers, Louis, Roy and Ralph.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 11:00am at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis with Pastor Steve Williams officiating.  Burial will be in Kettlekamp Cemetery in Nokomis.  Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 9:00am until 11:00am in Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis.

Helen Louise Young of Taylorville

Helen Louise Young, 86 of Taylorville passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:24 pm in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL. She was born November 26, 1925 the daughter of Forrie and Grace Hubbartt Donaldson. She was a retired executive director of the Taylorville Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Taylorville, Christian County YMCA, Taylorville Memorial Auxiliary, BPW, past Chairman Christian County JTPA, Land of Lincoln Consortium-Member PIC Executive Committe, Served on steering committee to organize I Search in Christian County, servedon Taylorville Unit School Distric Unit #3 Vocational Education Advisory Committee, Served on Christain Montgomery county Education for employment Advisory Committee, Member of Christain County Senior Citizens.

She is survived by daughter, Lori (Mike) Zeitler of Taylorville, IL, grandchildren, Jeremy (Colleen) Zeitler of Bloomington, IL, Kurt Zeitler of Taylorville, IL, great grandchildren, Ava Zeitler and Mazy Zeitler, niece Mary Ann (David) Farrimond, nephew, Gary (Pat) Cook. He was preceded by parents, sister, Elizabeth Buzan, Norma Cook, Regina Franz.

Visitation will be Sunday June 3, 2012 from 5-8pm at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Funeral will be Monday June 4, 2012 at 10 am at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.

Marilyn Jean Lynch Kennedy of Taylorville

Marilyn Jean Lynch Kennedy 70, of Taylorville passed away on Thursday at her residence in Taylorville on Thursday May 31, 2012 at 1:20 pm. She was born on January 22, 1942 in Springfield the daughter of Alvin Otto and Edith Lynch. She was a dedicated mother, Realtor for 35 years, writer, voracious reader, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and world traveler.

She is survived by her sons David (Heidi) Kennedy of Enid, OK, John Kennedy and companion Michelle Deschenes of Belleville,IL. She is also survived by her daughters Carole Kennedy of Taylorville, Cathy (Stuart) Lowrey of Centreville, VA, her grandchildren John, Rachel Lowery of Centreville, VA, Jordan and Josephine Kennedy of Enid, OK and Emma Jean Kennedy of Belleville, IL.

Memorial Mass will be at 11 am on June 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville. Interment will be at a later date in Arizona. Memorials can be sent to St. Mary's School or The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix.
