Dennis Dean Hughes of Clarksdale

Dennis Dean Hughes, 61, of Clarksdale, passed away November 29, 2012 at 6:21pm at his residence in Clarksdale.  He was born July 22, 1951 in Taylorville, IL., the son of Emra and Winnie (Durham) Hughes.  He married Thallah Beiermann in August, 1969 in St. Louis, MO.  He was a construction worker and a member of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Chris Hughes of Springfield and Jeffrey Abbott of Springfield; daughters, Dawn (Billy) Sanders of Ramsey, Beth (Robert) Spencer of Nokomis and Cindy Bethard of Clarksdale; 16 grandchildren, one grea-granddaughter; sister Shirley Fern Owens of Morrisonville; Aunt Helen Julious of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and beloved dog Boo.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 6:00pm at the Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville with Pastor Steve Switzer officiating.  Inurnment will be at a later date.  Memorials to be announced at a later date.

Hazel Williams of Mt. Auburn

Hazel Williams, 85, of Mt. Auburn, passed away November 30, 2012 at 5:00am at her residence in Mt. Auburn.  She was born January 21, 1927 in English, IN., the daughter of Ernest and Thelma Sullivan Cunningham.  She married Paul Wayne Williams in March, 1946 in Henderson, KY.  She was retired from K Mart retail Associate in Springfield, IL. 

She is survived by daughters; Stella (widow of Rodney) Williams of Taylorville, Janiece (David) Braun of Warrensburg, IL., Paula (Richard) Burchett of Mt. Auburn, Il. and Donna (Scott) Chambers of Latham, IL.; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded by her parents, husband, one son, 4 brothers, one granddaughter and an infant great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 10:00am at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Dan Armstrong officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Mt. Auburn.  Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.

Sharon R. Wirey of Taylorville

Sharon R. Wirey of Taylorville passed away at 6:20pm, Tuesday November 27, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Peter Floyd Boulanger and Helen Celerier Corsiatto. On June 24, 2000 she married Kenneth Wirey in Las Vegas. Mrs. Wirey worked as a Realtor for Curvey Real Estate in Taylorville. She enjoyed playing pool and poker.

Mrs. Wirey is survived by her husband: Kenneth of Taylorville, mother: Helen Corsiatto, brother, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 2 step sons. She was preceded in death by her father, and step father.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11am at McClure Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10am to 11am.

Robert E. Waterman of Taylorville

Robert E. Waterman, 83, of Taylorville, passed away November 28, 2012 at 2:45pm.   He was born February 28, 1929 in Taylorville, the son of Charles "Burl" and Maude (Miller) Waterman.  He married Wilma Neece in June, 1950 in Shelbyville.  She preceded him in death.  He was a retired Coal Miner for Consolidated Coal Co.  He was a member of UMWA, Life Member of the Masonic Mound Lodge #122 A.F & A.M., Moose Club #1516, Life Member of the Eagles Club #1425 and VFW Post #4495. 

He is survived by daughter Sherri Waterman of Taylorville; sister, Amy Snider of Madisonville, KY.; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Waterman of Carmichael, PA. and Mary Pauline Curry of Taylorville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister. 

Graveside services will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00am at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Rev. David Anderson officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

Cecilia Mae Morris of Taylorville

Cecilia "Mae" Morris, 97, of Taylorville passed away at 8:30am on Tuesday November 27, 2012 at Taylorville Care Center. She was born on December 28, 1914 in Christian County, the daughter of James and Gertrude Durbin Lamb. She married Clarence Morris on September 24, 1940 in East St. Louis Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1986. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville as well as the CD of A and Eagles. She worked for the Federal Government for many years dealing with computers.

Cecilia is survived by her 1 sister, 2 brothers, 1 step daughter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister, and 1 brother.

A committal service will be held on Friday November 30, 2012 at 11am in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Florissant, Missouri with Fr. Terry Borgerding officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at the McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville, with a wake service at 5pm officiated by Fr Alan Hunter.

Norma J. Brookshier of Taylorville

Norma J. Brookshier, 85, passed away November 27, 2012 at 8:28am in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born April 22, 1927 in Vandalia, IL, daughter of Logan and Cynthia Marie Patterson Lockart. She married Charles Teter and later divorced, and then married Winifred Windell, they were later divorced, and then married Glen Brookshier where he preceded her in death on January 3, 2003. Norma was a lifetime member of the Bill Anderson fan club, and Taylorville Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and playing her guitar to her girls.

She is survived by her daughters Lorretta (Carroll) Law of Owaneco, Carol (Perry) Dees of Taylorville, and Charlene Ray of Taylorville. She is also survived by 1 brother and 1 sister, 15 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 26 great grand children, 11 step-great grandchildren, 3 step-great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 daughters and one son-in-law.

Marjorie Frances (Roy) Maag of Taylorville

Marjorie Frances (Roy) Maag 85, died at 11:21am November 26, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  She was born November 7, 1927 in Paragould, AR, daughter of Charles Albert and Lena Clara Sanders Roy. On September 14, 1946 she married Henry Theodore Maag. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1985. Mrs. Maag's  was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son Timothy P. Maag of Texas; daughter, Pamela J. (Larry) Dempsey of Taylorville; three sisters, one brother,  seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, 3 brothers, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday November 30, 2012 at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Jim Augenstein officiating.  Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville. Visitation is Friday November 30, 2012 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Sutton Memorial Home Taylorville.

Romanza L. Beaty of Taylorville

Romanza L. Beaty, 77, of Taylorville, IL died at 2:40pm Sunday November 25, 2012 at her residence.

She was born July 10, 1935 in Springfield IL, the daughter of Charles and Essie M. Applegate. On November 27, 1955 she married Donald L. Beaty at the Edinburg United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2008. Mrs. Beaty was a member and Trustee of Bethel Baptist Church in Sharpsburg. She farmed and was a member of the American Suffolk Association, and was a bailiff for the Christian County Courthouse following her retirement from AFSCME Council 31.

Surviving are her children, grandchildren and great grand children of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister Gerry Ratliff.

Memorial Services will be held at 1pm Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Marrinan officiating. Private Family inurnment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

Maria Mary Corso of Taylorville

Maria "Mary" Corso 89 of Taylorville died at 5:34am Sunday November 25, 2012 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

She was born on May 17, 1923 in Fonzaso, Italy, the daughter of Vincent and Angellina Pante Corso. Mary was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Taylorville. She worked as a waitress for many years, Illinois Secretary of States Office, and retired from Sangamon Card Company. Her greatest joys were her family and many friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo and cards.

Surviving are her son: Don Corso and wife Sheila of Taylorville. Granddaughter Nikki Clayton and many great grandchildren. Sister Margaret Grauer of Taylorville, and Kay Cline and husband Jack of Davenport, IA. She is also survived by many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Thursday November 29, 2012 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm Wednesday at McClure Funeral Home Taylorville.

Algeria "Gig" Letcher, 90 of Stonington, IL dies at 9:40am Thursday, November 22, 2012 at her residence.

John Bernard Tirey of Taylorville

John Bernard Tirey, 74, of Taylorville passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:12am at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.  He was born August 22, 1938 in Mosquito Township, the son of Floyd Leslie and Geneva Marie Jones Tirey.  He Married Barbara Ann Durbin in August, 1959 in Taylorville.  Mr. Tirey was a retired auto body mechanic and was an Air Force Veteran of the Viet Nam Era.  He was a member of V F W Post 4495 and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife; sone, Derrick Brown of Taylorville; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Military Graveside Rites will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, November 23, 2012, at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton.  There will no visitation.

Robert E. Sneed of Taylorville

Robert E. Sneed, 78, passed away on November 20, 2012 at 3:44pm in his residence in Taylorville. He was born June 24, 1934 in Columbia, KY, the son of Alfred and Attie Smith Sneed. He married Carolyn Louise on October 5, 1969 in Taylorville, and she preceded him on December 31, 2009. His occupation was a diesel mechanic, and he was a member of Taylorville Christian Church.

He is survived by 12 grandchildren, his sons, Adam (Mckenzie) Sneed, and daughter, Sara Sneed and Rebecca Waite. He is also survived by 4 great grand children. He was preceded by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and sons Andrew and Richard Dale Sneed.

Funeral services will be held Monday November 26, 2012 at 10am at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Jeff Mayfield officiating. Visitation will be Sunday November 25, 2012 from 2pm to 5pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Inurnment will be at Fraley Cemetery in Taylorville.

Joseph Marvin Armstrong of Herrin, IL.

Joseph Marvin Armstrong, 81, of Herrin passed away at 7:45am on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehab Center.  He was born November 1, 1931 in Taylorville, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Bryles) Armstrong.  He married Mildred Clements in November, 1963 in Taylorville and she preceded him in death in June, 2005.  He was a coal miner, retiring from Freeman United #4; a member of the Herrin First Presbyterian Church and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. 

He is survived by his son Mike (Tricia) Armstrong of Paducah, KY.; daughter, Tammy (Tom) Clawson of Moberly, MO.; one granddaughter and one grandson; brother, Jack Armstrong of Taylorville; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister and two brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 10:00am in Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Rolla W. Clayton of Mt. Auburn

Rolla W. Clayton, 80, of Mt. Auburn passed away Friday November 16, 2012 at 6:20pm at Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1932 in Bolivia, IL, the son of Owen Nimrod and Sara Edna Miller Clayton. He married Patsy Burns on February 7, 1954. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and served in the air force. He was also a very talented musician. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Rolla will be missed by many.

He is survived by his spouse, Patsy Clayton, sons; Steven (Sherry) Clayton, Rick (Bonnie) Clayton, Rolly (Mary) Clayton, daughters;Christy (John) Rogers, Cindy Clayton. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 34 great grand children and by many neices, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Roy Charlie, Edward, Harold, Bob, sisters, Mable Saulsberry, Rosetta Elam, Cora Faye, and Betty Jean.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday November 20, 2012 at 10am at Joy Assembly Church in Stonington with Rev. Tim Moats officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn cemetary with Military honors. Visitation will be Monday November 19 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at Joy Assembly Church Stonington.

Grover E. Everett of Taylorville

Grover E. Everett, 71, of Taylorville passed away at 9:35am Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born November 3, 1941 in Fisk, MO., the son of Charles and Dorris Mayberry Everett.  On August 31, 1968, he married Patricia Cumby in Funks Grove, IL.  Mr. Everett received his degree from Oakland City College in Oakland City, Ind.  He taught in Champaign for a short time and then worked as an administrator in Mental Health and then the Illinois Department of Corrections at Lincoln and Taylorville.  After he retired he was a life guard at the Taylorville Y M C A.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville and a member of the Springfield Bike Club and RUSA, a world wide biking organization.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Jeffrey Everett and wife Maria of Orleans, VT. and Mark Everett and wife Kathleen of Aurora; daughters, Sheryl Sinclair and husband Merrill of Atlanta, GA. and Elizabeth Mileham and husband Jeffrey of Rochester; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and sister, Vera Middleton and husband David of Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, November 18, 2012 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating.  Mr. Everett will be cremated following services.  Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until time of service Sunday, November 18, 2012 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville.

Doris M. Oller of Taylorville

Doris M. Oller, 79, of Taylorville passed away at 3:04am Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at her residence.  She was born December 12, 1932 in Taylorville, the daughter of James Monroe and Crystle Fallowell Kerns.  In February, 1954, she married Clyde Leon Oller at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville.  She had been employed by Blakely's Department Store in Taylorville for 3 years and then was the Laboratory Secretary at St. Vincent Hospital for 24 years.  Mrs. Oller was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville and the Catholic Daughter's of America.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Howard Oller and wife Angela of Lockport, and Eric Oller and Fiancee Morgan Fahey-Vornberg of East Peoria; daughter, Lee Ann Oller and husband Michael Grover of Chicago; 3 granddaughters; sisters, Mary Knape and husband Hibberd of Tucson, AZ and Evelyn Ess of Kincaid; sisters-in-law, Mary Kerns of Springfield, Wilma Weitekamp and husband Ed of Raymond and Rita Hancock and husband Jim of Taylorville; brothers-in-law, Larry Oller and wife Rita and Russell Oller and wife Irene of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and a daughter-in-law.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday, November 17, 2012 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.   Visitation will be held from 10:00sm until service time in the church on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

Ila B. DeFoor of Stonington

Ila B. DeFoor, 87, of Stonington, IL died at 10pm Saturday November 10, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital, Decatur, IL.She was born July, 19, 1925 in Jasper, Alabama, the daughter of Benjamin and Adeline Barton Hill. On March 24, 1945 she married Charles Alan DeFoor in Tupelo, Mississippi, and he preceded her in death on Mach 31, 1993.

Surviving are her children: Steven DeFoor and wife Judy Henderson, NV, Connie Herndon of Chatham, IL, Charles DeFoor, Jr. of Stonington, Carolyn Burkhart and husband Doanld of Blue Mound, and Laura Hubbard and husband Kent of Auburn. She was also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Megan DeFoor, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Private family services will be held at 10am on Thursday November 15 at McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in GlenHaven Memorial Gardens Taylorville.

Dr. Marion David Doc Bliler of Taylorville

Dr. Marion David "Doc" Bliler, 78, of Taylorville, passed away Thursday November 8, 2012 at 7:37pm at his residence in Taylorville. He was born April 23, 1934 in Boody. The son of Dale and Violet Pistorius Bliler. He married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Brown, on June 28, 1953 and they recently celebrated their 59th anniversary. He was a veteranarian for 51 years and was the Co-owner of Northside Veterinary Clinic. He was also a member of Davis Memorial Christian Church for over 50 years.

He is survived by his spouse, Elaine Bliler, by his sons, Mikel (Jane) Bliler, Kevin (Penny) Bliler, and daughters, Sharon (Kent) Bangert, Ronda (Mike) Fassero, Karla (Lee) Mateer and his sister, Kaye (Howard) Yoder. He also has 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several neices and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, and grandchildren Ryan Fassero and Gail Bliler.

Celebration of life will be held on November 12, 2012 at 2pm at Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville with Rev. Bill Kerns officiating. Visitation will be November 11, 2012 from 2pm to 5pm at Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Taylorville.

C. Diane Huffines, 72, of Taylorville, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 12:46am at Meadow Manor Nursing Home in Taylorville.

Harlan HAHA L. Alberts of Taylorville

Harlan "HaHa" L. Alberts Sr., 79, of Taylorville, passed away November 6, 2012 at 3:10pm at his residence in Taylorville.  He was born April 11, 1933 in Moweaqua, the son of William Cecil and Lucille (Baughman) Alberts.  He Married Rinda Lee Cozad in September, 1958 in Miami, OK and later they divorced and Rinda passed away in October, 1984.  He was in the U S Army, retiring in June, 1974 and he worked at Franks Food Fair and Baughman Oster in Taylorville.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Taylorville.

He is survived by companion, Deborah Denbow of Taylorville; sons, Harlan Larue Alberts Jr. (Companion Ruby Mills) of Taylorville and Howard Beau (Donna) Alberts of Taylorville; daughters, Tanny (Wayne) Mitchell of Morrisonville and Dawn (Robert) Willard of Taylorville; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy (Frank) Scholes of Taylorville, Stella (Roy) Alvey of Enid, OK. and Karen Stephens of Cahokia; brothers, John (Sharon) Alberts of Bloomington and Gary Butch (Muffy) Alberts of Taylorville; half brother James "Jim" (Brenda) Clarke Jr. of Aurora, CO.; several nieces, nephews and cousins and canine furbabies, Andy and Mandy.  He was preceded by parents, one infant son, two infant daughters, one grandson, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 3:00pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Dr. Charles Banning officiating.  Cremation will follow funeral services.  Inurnment will be at a later date.  Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 5-7pm and Friday, from 2-3pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.

Evelyn Mansfield of Morrisonville

Evelyn Mansfield, 87, of Morrisonville, passed away November 5, 2012 at 9:45 at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born October 31, 1925 in Morrisonville, the daughter of Steve and Christina Leonard Sparks. She married Kenneth Mansfield on December 2, 1944 in Taylorville, and preceded her on November 25, 1984. She was a retired homemaker, a member of the American Legion, and Fairview United Methodist Church in Nokomis, IL.

She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Waterman of Nokomis; 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Noella Fixsal of Taylorville and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded by parents and her husband,

Funeral services will be held Friday November 9, 2012 at 11am at Fairview United Methodist Church in Nokomis  with Rev. Rick Miles officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis. Maurice A. DesCarpenter of Taylorville

Maurice A. Descarpenter, 96, of Taylorville passed away November 06, 2012 at 6:58am at Memorial Medical Center. He was born June 10, 1916 in Roanoke, IL, the son of Constant and Aline Maquet DesCarpenter. He married Maragret Cooper in 1936 and she preceded him in 1951 and then married Alice Anderson in 1953 in Edinburg. He first became a journeyman pressman in the printing and graphic arts union, McCall Corporation in Dayton, OH, and printer at the Breeze Courier and retired after 43 years in 1982. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Lamens League, VFW Post #4495, involved in scouts for over 20 years, Order of the Arrow, Silver Beaver, and received the National Lutheran Lamb Award, selected Taylorville's outstanding citizen in 1980.

He is survived by his wife; son, Jeffery A. DesCarpenter of Springfield; daughters, Jill A. Cox of Taylorville, and Michelle A. Ettenger of Alpharetta, GA; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceeded by parents, first wife, son, Terry DesCarpenter and son in law Terry Cox.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Monday November 12, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville with Pastor Rodney Bloomquist officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held Sunday November 11, 2012 from 3pm to 6pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.

Jack Dennis Harrold of Taylorville

Jack Dennis Harrold, 70, of Taylorville, went to be with his Heavenly Father at 9:15pm Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Memorial Medical Center, with his wife and children at his side.  Mr. Harrold was born October 22, 1942 in Tempe, Texas, the son of Claud Henry and Mary Elizabeth Purkes Harrold.  On November 20, 1966 he married Lois Lee Turvey in Taylorville.  Mr. Harrold was a graduate of Taylorville High School with the class of 1960.  He was a 1965 graduate of the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Soil Science.  He had taught High School Ag in Newman, Williamsville and Cerro Gordo and was a soil consultant until his retirement in 2004.

Surviving are his wife Lois of Taylorville; daughter, Bonita Hall and husband virgil of Taylorville, and 2 sons;  Brendan Harrold and Bryantt Harrold both of Taylorville; sister, Dana Garner and husband Glen of Oklahoma, and brother, Bruce Harrold of Taylorville.  Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, James E. Harrold and a nephew.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at McClulre Funeral Home in Taylorville with Pastor Philip Neumann officiating.  There will be no visitation.

Aldo Vitali of Langleyville

Aldo Vitali, 88, of Langleyville, passed away at 12:50pm, Monday, November 5, 2012 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.  He was born March 10, 1924 in Langleyville, the son of Alberto L. and Amelia Malchioni Vitali.  On July 2, 1950, he married Edmona J. Parrish at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville.  Mr Vitali was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and retired from C I P S in 1986.  He was a veteran of the Army Air Force serving in World War II and a lifetime member of the V F W Post 4495 in Taylorville. 

He is survived by his wife; brother, Silvio Vitali of Langleyville; 3 nephews, 5 nieces, several cousins, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews; brothers-in-law:  Harold Parrish and wife Dotty of Taylorville and Robert Parrish and wife Wilma of Lincoln.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, November 9, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating.  Burial will be in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Thursday, November 8, 2012 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville.

Keegan Dennis Taft of Hernando, FL.

Keegan Dennis Taft, 13 days old, of Hernando, FL., passed away November 1, 2012 at 12:45am at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL.  He was born October 18, 2012 at home , the son of Regan Wayne and Danielle Renee Small Taft.

He is survived by parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and aunts and uncles.  He was preceded by 1 great-grandfather and 1 great-step-grandmother.

Virginia Faye Mullen of Carlinville

Virginia Faye Mullen, 88, of Carlinville, passed away October 31, 2012 at 10:38pm in Friendship Home in Carlinville.  She was born July 18, 1924 in Stonington, the daughter of Condy and Sarah (Trotter) Smith.  She married Lester Mullen in February, 1944 in Taylorville.  She was a farmers wife, factory worker, and a volunteer at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.

She is survived by daughter Sandra (Todd) Shaub of Carlinville; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, sisters, 1 son and a granddaughter.

Memorial services will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at 6:00pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Ellis Sills officiating.  Inurnment will be at a later date.
