CarolGene (Brown) Kugel of Pana

CarolGene (Brown) Kugel, 70 of Pana, IL formerly of Nokomis passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.  She was born on October 30, 1943 in Lawrenceville, IL daughter of Clyde and Anna Jane (Weger) Brown.  She married Arthur Walker in April of 1963 in Taylorville, IL. He preceded her in passing on May 2, 1966. She then married to Robert Travis in 1969  Fillmore, IL. She was a homemaker, a social member of the VFW, a member of the Eagles and the Pana Moose Lodge.


She is survived by her Sons, Steve (wife, Celia) Walker of Litchfield, IL and Brian (wife, Erin) Kugel of Nokomis, IL; Daughter, Gail (husband, John) Cox of Pana, IL; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; Brother, Dick (wife, Candy) Brown of Donnellson, IL; Sisters, Linda (husband, Raymond) Eller of Nokomis, IL and Deborah (husband, John) O’Connell of Gillespie, IL, Special  Friends, Ronald Tipsword and Lucy Graves both of Pana, IL;  several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in passing by her parents, first husband, Arthur; Infant Son, Gary Dean Kugel; Brothers, Larry and Terry Brown; Sisters, Janice Sparks and Marsha Brown.

Wayne Earl Younker of Edinburg

Wayne Earl Younker, 82 of Edinburg, IL passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.  He was born on February 11, 1932 in Taylorville, IL. The son of  R. Earl and Verna M. (Sanders) Younker.  He married Norma Fern Elder on March 22, 1953 at the Berea Church in Mt. Auburn, IL. He was a retired farmer . He also worked for Borg Warner and Climate Control.


In addition to his wife, Norma,  he is survived by his  Sons, Douglas (wife, Betty) Younker of Edinburg, IL and Phil (wife, Teri) Younker of Taylorville, IL; Daughters, Nancy (husband, Larry) Keller of Tilden, IL and Susan (husband, Allen) Hutcheson of Williamsville, Il; Grandchildren, Amy, Elizabeth, Joe, Teresa, Mason, Alex, Kelsey, Rebecca, Robert and Billy; Great Grandchildren, Adrianna and Alex.; Son-in-law, Carmen Scavo of Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Daughter, Sheryl Younker-Scavo; Grandson, Nicholas Younker; Siblings, Mason Younker, Francis Younker and Edith Ferre.      

       
Visitation will be from 9:00  until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Ted Marrinan officiating .  Inurnment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Sharpsburg, IL.

Evelyn Viola (Gray) Herzog of Nokomis

Evelyn Viola (Gray) Herzog, 95, of Nokomis, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 1:50 a.m. at Gowin Parc of Taylorville. She was born January 17, 1919 in Decatur, IL. The daughter of Walter and Florence (Bevil) Gray. She married Wilbur “Web” Herzog on October 17, 1943 at South Fork United Methodist Church of rural Nokomis. He later preceded her on May 5, 2000. She was a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Witt United Methodist Church.

 
She is survived by her Sons, Ronald (June) Herzog of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Randal Herzog of Nokomis, IL; daughter, Deborah (Jim) Stoddard of Assumption, IL; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, May Gray, Helen (Gray) Tossi and Bessie Zupanci, Infant Brother, Walter.


Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis with Pastor Joy Caschetta officiating. Burial will be in Kettlekamp Cemetery in Nokomis. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis.

Thomas E. Mayes Jr. of Taylorville

Thomas E. Mayes, Jr. 63, of Taylorville, IL died at 2:00 am, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.

He was born December 1, 1950, the son of Thomas E. and Doris E. McIntosh Mayes, Sr. On August 1, 1970 he married Sally Jean Bishop in Taylorville. Mr. Mayes had been employed by G.S.I. for over 25 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and loved to spend time with his family.

Surviving are his wife: Sally Mayes of Taylorville; Children: Bette Wickell and husband Brad of Millstadt, Thomas E. Mayes, III of Taylorville, and Angel Nolen and husband Bret of Bethany; 3 Grandchildren: Brandon Finn, Bradly Dilley, and William Nolen. There are several Brothers and Sisters including: Timothy Mayes and wife Theresa of Taylorville, Ted Mayes of Springfield, Connie Parks and husband Fred of Taylorville, and Bonnie Dollar and husband Jerry of Peoria. There are also several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins surviving. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Dixie Mayes.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Dinner will be held at the Manner’s Park Pavilion on Sunday, September 28 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. All Family and friends are invited to attend.

Betty Jo Hamer of Taylorville

Betty Jo Hamer, 78, of Taylorville, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 3:15 p.m. at her daughters residence. She was born  August 24, 1936 in Decatur, IL. The Daughter of Harold and Mabel (Martin) Anderson. She married Jon R. Ulz on December 18, 1955 in Decatur, IL and he later preceded her on April 1, 1984 and then she married Robert Hamer on December 30, 1992 in Taylorville, IL. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Taylorville.


She is survived by her Husband: Robert Hamer of Taylorville, IL; Son: Jon David Ulz and  Wife Susan Leal of New Orleans, LA; Daughter: Jo Beth (Michael) Zajac of Bloomington, IL; Step-Daughters: Susie (Jim) Montgomery of Taylorville, IL; Sara (Steve) Kirby of Pawnee, IL; Sandy (Scott) Hockman of Mahomet, IL; Grandchildren: Maximilian and Wesley Ulz, Andrew, Alex and Jaxsen Zajac; Step- Grandchildren: Mitchell Hockman, Shaefer Kirby, Spencer Kirby; several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents and first Husband.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Becke Lembke officiating. Melvin Wesley Page Jr. of Taylorville

Melvin Wesley Page Jr., 94 of Taylorville passed away at 10:23 PM on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

 

He was born on July 20, 1920 at Springfield the son of Melvin W. and Lela E. (Ealey) Page Sr. He married Dorothy I. Perrine on May 8, 1938; she preceded him in death on April 27, 1957. He then married Mavis “Mickey” Martin on September 18, 1958; she also preceded him in death on April 3, 2001. He married Eileen H. (Wilcox) Daykin on August 18, 2002 at Community of Christ Church in Taylorville; she survives. He was also preceded in death by his parents; Son, Jack Girard; Sisters, Ruby Bull and Dorothy Schaefer; Granddaughter, Julie Riggs.

 

Melvin owned and operated Pages Body Shop from June 1953 until his retirement in December 1993. He was a lifetime member of Mound Lodge #122 A.F. & A.M., lifetime member of VFW Post 4495 and Community of Christ Church. He was a Navy Seabee stationed in Guam during World War II.

 

Survivors include: Wife, Eileen H. Page of Taylorville, IL; Daughters, Beverly A. Bergschneider of Taylorville, IL, Kay Carol (husband, Phillip) Champley of Taylorville, IL and Kay Ellen (husband, Robert) Schutte of Apple Valley, MN; Grandchildren, Rick (Lisa) Champley, Phyllis (John) Rosenthal, Phillip (Rhoda) Champley, Jim (Cathy) Bergschneider, Cheryl (Greg) Lane, Carol (Jim) Vaughn, Tommy Girard, Joe Girard and Jackie (Keith) Boyd; Many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 2 sisters in law; Many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Community of Christ Church with Pastor Lori Smothers officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home.

Randy C. Willard of Taylorville

Randy C. Willard, 50, of Taylorville passed away at 3:50 pm, Monday, September 22, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. Randy was born on November 11, 1963 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the son of Clyde Lewis and Ardena June McPeek Willard. He was a graduate of Taylorville High School and was previously employed at the Christian County Mental Health Association and Kroger. He was a member of the Taylorville Christian Church. Randy was a proud assistant coach of the Her-A-Canes and Pawnee Jr. High Softball teams. He was the Taylorville Tornadoes #1 fan, he loved Jesus, and loved camping, boating, singing, dancing, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Elvis. He won many gold medals while competing in the Special Olympics. Randy touched the lives of countless people. His enthusiasm and love for life will always be remembered by anyone who knew him.

Randy is survived by his sisters: Debi Sloan, and husband Bill, of Taylorville, with whom he lived for many years, and Dena Laymon of Edinburg; Brothers: Robert Willard, wife Dawn, of Taylorville, and Jimmy Tolly, wife Sheryl, of Broomfield, Colorado; nieces and nephews: Carla Sloan, companion Ann Little, of Taylorville, Jessie Ervin, husband Tim of Taylorville, Eric Adams, wife Heather, of Taylorville, Kelly Aymer, husband Wes of Kincaid, Tanner Laymon, of Edinburg, Katie Hogge of Taylorville, Mikki Willard of Taylorville, and Brian Tolly of Broomfield Colorado; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Ricky Willard, and Michael Willard, and nephew: Steve Tolly.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 26 at McClure Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wamsley officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Wayne L. Dortch of Litchfield

Wayne L. Dortch, 72 of Litchfield, IL passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL..  He was born on February 10, 1942 in Malden, MO the son of Noah and Ruby (Fletcher) Dortch.  He married Ruth Wiltermood on September 11, 1959 in Macon, IL. He was a machinist at Mueller Company in Decatur for 28 years. Mr. Dortch was a  veteran of the U.S. Army. He served as the Commander of the American Legion Post #257 in Stonington, IL. He was also a member of the NRA and the Maps Association Missions America Placement Services as well as the Assembly of God Church. He led his life through Gods eyes.


In addition to his wife, Ruth of Litchfield, IL he is survived by his daughters: Rosemary (Wayne) Staten of Gillespie, IL, Ruby Mills of Taylorville, IL and Cindy (Kevin) Mably of Pleasant Plains, IL; grandchildren: Angela Staten, Les (Paula) Brun, Jesse Mably and Justin Mably; great grandchildren: Journey (Brun) Hammond, Kaden, Ian, Austin, Brun Sabattini; sister, Joann Meshell of Florissant, MO; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents.


Visitation will be from 4:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday ,September 19, 2014 at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Dean Rose officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Lois Irene Dorchincez of Taylorville

Lois Irene Dorchincez, 92 of Taylorville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 12, 2014 at 11:50 a.m. She was born on June 1, 1922 in Benton, IL the 16th of 17 children, born to Frank and Effie Jane (Smith) Smith. She was also the last surviving member of her family.


She met Charlie Dorchincez in Benton and they were married on August 3, 1940 celebrating almost 62 years of marriage. Lois was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church for over 60 years. She worked as a telephone operator at Illinois Consolidated for many years, and then went to the Sangamon Card Company from which she retired. She loved her Lord, her church and her family. She and her husband were avid travelers and journeyed to the Holy Land as well as every state in the United States.


Left to cherish her memory is her Daughter and Son-in-Law Elaine and Jim Brown of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren Gina (Brown) DeSart and Husband Stan of Taylorville, IL, Lisa (Brown) Weitekamp and Husband Joe of Taylorville, IL, Brett Brown of Taylorville, IL; Great-Grandchildren Lindsay Weitekamp of Taylorville, Matthew Myers of Taylorville and Megan Myers of Taylorville, Several Nieces and Nephews among who are D.J. Rice, John Rice and wife Lynn of Taylorville, IL; Ron Rice of Springfield, MO; Ed Rice and Wife Kay of Venice, FL. She was preceded in death by her Husband in 2002, her parents and siblings.

Joseph Lewis Welge of Taylorville

Joseph Lewis Welge, 45, of Taylorville died at 1:09 pm Monday, September 8, 2014 at his residence.

 

He was born July 21, 1969 in Taylorville the son of Gerald Lewis and Joleta Louise Sims Welge. On August 31, 1991 he married Stephanie K. Chance in Taylorville. Mr. Welge was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a home inspector and also worked in the construction field.

 

Surviving are his Wife: Stephanie K. Welge of Nokomis; Sons: Addison Garrett Chance Welge and Zachary Nathaniel Ethan Welge both of Nokomis; Mother and Step-Father: Joleta and Charles Campbell of Taylorville; Maternal Grandmother: Beverly Joan Sims of Taylorville; Brothers and Sisters: Scott E. Campbell of Stonington, Jesse Mollet and Jeanie Welge both of Taylorville and Kenneth Welge of Springfield; Aunts and Uncles: Barb Sims, Alice Boensel and husband Rod, David Sims and wife Jayme, and Myron Sims and wife Tammy all of Taylorville and Myrna Seiler and husband Ron of Owaneco. Here are several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Father, Maternal Grandfather, Dallas Sims, and Uncle Allen Sims.

Frances L. Hill of Taylorville

Frances L. Hill, 89, of Bloomington, IL formerly of Taylorville, died at 8:10 pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

She was born September 23, 1924 in Morrisonville, the daughter of Alfred D. and Ada Waddle Mundhenke. On March 7, 1947 she married Charles F. Hill in Morrisonville, IL and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1981. Mrs. Hill moved to Bloomington from Taylorville eight years ago to be near her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and she hosted the Monday Morning Bible Study in her home for 25 years until moving. Frances was a 1942 graduate of Morrisonville High School and a graduate of Brown’s Business College in Decatur. She worked as a Stenographer and Bookkeeper for several businesses in Taylorville.

Surviving are her daughters: Donna Torricelli of Bloomington and Susan Morrissey and husband
Dale of Champaign. Grandchildren: Sara Taulbee and husband Nate of Bloomington, Mark Morrissey and wife Nicole of St. Joseph, MI, and Michelle Morrissey of Seattle, WA. There are 3 Great Grandchildren: Dominic Taulbee, Maria Taulbee, and Shea Morrissey. She is also survived by one brother: Alfred “Bill” Mundhenke and wife Alta of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Son-in-law: Fred Torricelli, Sisters: Phyllis Davis and Ione Prose, and Brothers: James Mundhenke and John Mundhenke.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service in the Church on Wednesday.

Phyllis (Lewis) Davidson of Edinburg

Phyllis (Lewis) Davidson, 70 of Edinburg passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 3:48 PM at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born November, 8, 1943 in Smithboro, IL daughter of George Mearl and Alberta “Bertie” (Jones) Lewis.  She married Stephen Davidson. He preceded her in passing.


She is survived by her mother: Bertie Lewis of Greenville, IL; son: Clay (Rachel) Davidson of Auburn, IL; daughter: Amy (Dan) Stuart of Edinburg, IL; grandchildren: Caly and Ryleigh Davidson, T.J. Henn, Paige and Emma Stuart, Kyle (Jamie) Stuart; brothers: Terry (Cindy) Lewis of Greenville, IL, Jerry Lewis of Smithboro, IL, and Kevin (Becky) Lewis of Pleasant Mount, IL; sisters: Connie (Jerry) Criner of Woburn, IL, Paula (Burl) Marohl of Greenville, IL; sister-in-law: Bunny Lewis of Greenville, IL; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in passing by her father, George; father-in-law: Howard; mother-in-law: Jennie and  brother: Gary Lewis.


She had retired from the D.C.F.S. after 38 years of service.  She was a member of the Rochester Christian Church. She was a pianist  and singer all her life including at Nashville North in Taylorville. She enjoyed sewing, having lunch at Bob Evans in Springfield.  Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and being involved in all their school activities


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Darryl Bolen officiating.  Burial will follow at the Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg.  Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.


The family will be hosting a dinner at the Edinburg Community Building in the Edinburg Veterans Park immediately following the graveside services for a time of sharing memories of Phyllis.

Doris Eileen McKinney of Taylorville

Doris Eileen McKinney, 74, of Taylorville, IL died at 10:54 am Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at her residence.

She was born September 8, 1939 in Georgetown, IL the daughter of Milford Edward and Mary Helen Willison Brown. On December 29, 1961 she married Floyd Edward McKinney, Sr. in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1991. Mrs. McKinney was a homemaker, member of Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville, Ladies of the Moose, Chapter 1263, and Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary #1425.

Surviving are her sons: Floyd E. McKinney, Jr. and fiancée LaDonna of Springfield and Robert C. McKinney of Taylorville. Brother Charles E. Brown and wife Harriett of Chicago, and Grandchildren: Brittany Kaye McKinney and Matthew Edward McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Robert D. Brown.

Charles Leroy Tyler of Taylorville

Charles Leroy Tyler, 93, of Taylorville, IL died at 6:05 pm Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville.

He was born January 9, 1921 in Taylorville, IL the son of Roy McClellan and Dollie Edna Mae Miller Tyler. He loved country music, going to church, fishing and making pot holders that he gave away. Charlie never knew a stranger and loved talking to people. He worked at CCMH Workshop in Taylorville. Even at 93 he took pride in being able to work. He loved going to the Senior Citizen’s Center and seeing all his friends. He lived at Taylorville Terrace before becoming ill and was a part of a really nice extended family there. He had two special friends he thought the world of Kate and Partick who were employees of Taylorville Terrace.

Surviving are his brother: James M. Tyler of Eugene, OR, 5 Sisters: Dorothy M. Allen and Donna L. Stafford of Taylorville, Nancy S. Reubart of Ft. Madison, IA, Frances M. Remark of Ottumwa, IAmabd Anna Margaret Elam. There are several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Great Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 Brothers: Eugene McClellan Tyler, Roy Tyler, Jr., Thomas Burton Forrest, and Lester Lee Elam, and Three Sisters: Clara Muncy, Kathleen Vitale, and Martha Jeffers.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 5 at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville with Rev. Eric Stillwell officiating.

Dominic Sheffield of Taylorville

Baby Dominic Sheffield, 14 days old, of Taylorville, passed away Monday, September  1, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. He was born August 18, 2014 in Springfield, IL. The son of Noelani Kious and Ron Sheffield.   


He is survived by his parents: Noelani Kious and Ron Sheffield of Taylorville, IL; brothers: Isaac Kious, Dante Kious, Tegan Sheffield and Jack Davis all of Taylorville, IL; sisters: Danielle Kious, Feylin Kious, Isis Kious and Yazlynn Swinburne all of Taylorville, IL; maternal grandparents: Mell and Debbie Silva of Taylorville, IL; paternal grandmother, Donna Lee of Meta, MO; several aunts, uncles and cousins.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Father Mariadas Chatla officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.

Marguerite E. Price Smith of Taylorville

Marguerite E. Price Smith, 89, of Taylorville, IL died at 8:02 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Taylorville Care Center.

She was born October 3, 1924 in Grayson Springs, KY, the daughter of John Harlan and Sophronia E. Lush Clark. Marguerite graduated from Mt. Auburn High School. On September 25, 1943 she married Thomas I. Price in Decatur, IL and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1980. She then married Albert Lewis Smith on January 16, 1988 in Taylorville and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2003. Marguerite was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville, St. Vincent Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Surviving are her daughter: Margaret Requarth and husband Davi of Edinburg; Granddaughter: Erika Stajcar and husband Terry of Levenworth, KS; Great Grandson: Cooper Stajcar of Levenworth, KS and Daughter-in-law: Kim Price of Taylorville. Brother: Russell Clark and Sister: Mary Rose Kristian both of Taylorville. Brother-in-law: John McAvoy of Taylorville. There are several Step Children and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Preceding her in death were her Parents, 2 Husbands, two sons: Thomas E. Price and Gail A. Price, one Granddaughter: Marie Elizabeth Price, Three Brothers: Edward Clark, John Clark, and Harold Clark, and Two Sisters: Teresa McAvoy and Helena Schulte.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 6 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Church from 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday. McClure Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra M. Scott of Taylorville

Sandra M. Scott, 68, of Taylorville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 4:28 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born June 8, 1946 in Taylorville, IL. The Daughter of Perry and Mary Choquet Gilpin. She married Harold Frank Scott on August 13, 1972 in Morrisonville, IL and he later preceded her in death on November 19, 2009. She retired from Firestone and owner of the Playhouse Tavern. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. The family requests that you please wear casual attire for the memorial service.    

She is survived by her Daughters: Penny (Eric) Clark of Taylorville, IL; Kathy Swinburne and companion Michael Hazdra of Taylorville, IL; Four Grandchildren; Eight Great Grandchildren; Sister: Linda (Larry) Saulsbery of Mt. Auburn, IL; Brother: Donald (Sherry) Gilpin of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.


Memorial service will be held Friday, September  5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville.

Walter A. Bogusz of Taylorville

 

Walter A. Bogusz, 64 of Taylorville passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.  He was born August 22, 1950 in Gary, IN the son of Walter and Margaret Kresnocki Bogusz.  He married Rhea Hendricks on September 23, 1977 in Springfield, IL.  He worked as an electrician with IBEW Local 146.

He is survived by his wife Rhea of Taylorville, IL; Son: Mike Bogusz of Springfield, IL; Daughter: Staci Coady of Riverton, IL; Grandchildren: Alex, Griffin and Emma Jean; Sister: Peggy Roberts of Valparaiso, IN; Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by hisParents, Mother and Father-in-Law Wayne and Doris Hendricks

 A private family graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating.
