Catherine Louise Piretto

Catherine Louise Piretto, 95 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on April 8, 1923 in Langleyville, IL the daughter of John and Marie (Cerato) Sebben. She married Dominic Piretto on September 28, 1946 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1983. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville and the Taylorville Catholic Daughters of America. 
After being widowed at 59, Catherine focused on her family and her art. Her talent and strength of character flourished. She was an avid collector and talented artist who painted cherished works which will be enjoyed by family for generations to come. Catherine always placed others before herself. She cared.
She is survived by her Daughters: Susan (Mark) Scofield of Atlanta, GA and Sally (Kevin) Boaz of St. Charles, MO; Grandchildren: Matthew (Brandie) Scofield of Atlanta, GA, Nicolas (Megan) Scofield of Los Angeles, CA and Kyle Boaz of Springfield, MO; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brother: Victor Sebben and Uncles: Angelo and Tony Cerato.   
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Memorial Service will begin immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Father Albert Allen officiating. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

Patricia A. "Patsy" Warren

She was born in Kincaid, IL January 10, 1934 the daughter of Emmett and Grace (Clinton) Corbett.  Patricia married Donald E. Warren August 27, 1955 in Kincaid, IL and he preceded her in death Saturday, July 3, 1993.
Mrs. Warren was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid.  She belonged to: the St. Rita Alter and Rosary Society, Royal Neighbors, the Edwin Corpin American Legion Post #905 Ladies Auxiliary of Kincaid and was a former member of the Taylorville Moose Club and the Taylorville V.F.W. Ladies auxiliary.  Patricia was a homemaker and formerly worked as an Avon Lady for many years.  Mrs. Warren's greatest asset was her family.
Surviving are 3 daughters Debra (husband Donald) Pasqueno of Mt. Olive, IL Donna (husband Jim) Basalyga of Kincaid, IL Ann (husband Mark) Kendle of Taylorville, IL a son Donald J. (wife Trisha) Warren of Vandalia, IL 10 grandchildren Angie (wife Tina) Pasqueno, Allison Buzick, Jessica (husband Jimmy) Lennox, Andrea (husband Farron) Brown, Andrew Kendle, Lexi Kendle, Donald J. (wife Brittany) Warren, Jr., Jade Warren, Derek Warren, and Alex Basalyga, great grandchildren: Rhiannon Pasqueno-Razmus and fiancée Kane Kreger, Lily & Cambren Buzick, Cody Walker, Bethany & Aiden Davis, Bella & Tommy Lennox, Carter & Graham Warren, Harper Goldsboro, a great-great granddaughter Adellie Kreger and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and a grandson Jeremie Pasqueno.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 5, at St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid.  Visitation for Mrs. Patricia A. “Patsy” Warren will be held from 9 to 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid Saturday January 5, 2018.  Burial will take place at a later date.  Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid is assisting the family with arrangements

 

Melvin Eugene Dennison

Melvin Eugene Dennison, 82, of Taylorville, IL, passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2018 at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Melvin was born January 15, 1936 in Virden, IL, the son of Herschel and Gladys “Sallie” (Tucker) Dennison, Sr.  He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps.  Melvin owned and operated Mel’s Construction, providing various handyman and HVAC services.  He enjoyed camping and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herschel, Bill, and Raymond Dennison; and sisters, Eunice January, Dora Dalton, Millie Dennison, and Bonnie Dennison.

Melvin is survived by his children, Bob (Kathy) Dennison of Springfield, IL, Brian (Rachel) Dennison of Decatur, IL, Pam (James Bradburn) Dennison of Litchfield, IL, and Christopher Dennison of Peoria, IL; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Pat) Dennison, Sr. of Mechanicsburg, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Melvin donated his body to science, and inurnment will be held at a later date.

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Moulton

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Moulton, 95, of Taylorville, IL passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana, IL.

Betty was born June 15, 1923 in Carrollton, IL, the daughter of Harlan and Dorothea (Mills) Farrow.  She married Harry Willard Moulton on May 15, 1941 in Union, MO.  Harry preceded her in death on May 24, 2000.

Betty attended Taylorville High School, and graduated from Carrollton High School.  She was a homemaker most of her life, and worked for the State of Illinois Veterans Affairs office for 5 years.  Betty enjoyed singing.  She sang for many weddings and funerals, as well as for the Taylorville Municipal Band, and her own band where she met her husband.  She also loved traveling, and visiting Green County where she grew up.  Most all, Betty enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Harlan “Lanny” Moulton, MD; and sister, Jean Jones.

Betty is survived by her son, Harry A. (Barbara) Moulton of St. Genevieve, MO; daughter-in-law, Judy Moulton of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren, Harry W. (Anne), David, James, Jeff (Stephanie), Ken (Aimee), and Scott Moulton, and Melissa (Kevin) Ozment; 10 great grandchildren; half-sister, Jacque (Bruce) Hansen; one niece; and caregiver and dear friend, Susan Gensler.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.

James Louis Colonius

James Louis Colonius, 90, of Morrisonville passed away at 8:20pm on Monday, December 24, 2018. He was born on September 11, 1928 in Hillsboro, the son of Louis and Mary (Carriker) Colonius. Jim graduated from Nokomis Township High School in 1946 and was a veteran of the Air Force, having served with the 170th Fighter Squadron. He married Cornelia Mae Klinefelter on June 20, 1953 in the Buckeye United Methodist Church. She preceded him on death on February 22, 2016. Mr. & Mrs. Colonius owned and operated a farm south of Taylorville and he also worked as a Driver’s License Examiner for the Illinois Secretary of State office in Taylorville. Jim was an active member of the Buckeye United Methodist Church and the Locust Masonic Lodge in Owaneco as well as the Ansar Shrine and 3 Wheelers.

Jim is survived by his children: Neal Colonius (Marcia) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Brenda Colonius of Denver, Colorado, Mark Colonius of Shelbyville, Illinois, and Jay Colonius (Nenen) of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren: Mackinzey Colonius, Tristan Colonius, and Casey Colonius; great grandchildren: Norrell & Laney Mae; brothers: Darrell Colonius (Sharon) of Edinburg and Phil Colonius (Bev) of Springfield; sisters: Martha Atkinson of Oklahoma, and Lynda Hutchens of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother: Lamar Colonius, sisters: Ruth Bowers and Mary Lou Huber and son-in-law: Craig Norrell.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 29 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev. Tami Werschey-Kessinger officiating. Burial will follow at the Buckeye Cemetery in rural Owaneco. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7pm Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Buckeye United Methodist Church.

Delores F. Lucas

Delores F Lucas, 85, of Jeisyville, IL passed away Thursday 8:25 pm December 20, 2018 in her home.  

She was born on November 26, 1933 in Clinton, IN, the daughter of Oscar and Geneva Thompson.  She married John R. “JR” Lucas in Clinton IN on June 25, 1950.  He preceded her in death in 1993.  Delores was a home maker who loved her family especially spending time with her grandkids.    She was a member of the former Nazarene Church in Kincaid and later attended Midland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children Linda (Byron) Bell of Kincaid, IL, Juanita (Eddie) Pucino of Rhode Island, Betty Karaianis of Taylorville, IL, Joseph Lucas of Montana, Jennifer (Nick) Verardi of Taylorville, IL, Ashley Lucas and Sara Ibarra both of Taylorville, IL, 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband JR, daughter Delia, and three brothers John, Neal, and Robert Thompson. 

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Thursday December 27th, 2018 at Masterson Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kincaid with burial to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton, IL.  Pastor Steve Smith to officiate. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 pm December 26th, 2018 at Masterson Funeral Home.  

 

Emily Jane Nesvacil

Emily Jane Nesvacil, 93, of Mt. Auburn, IL passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, IL.

Emily was born April 6, 1925 in Harristown, IL, the daughter of Jesse James and Bertha (McQueen) Heath. She married Edward James Nesvacil in Wisconsin, and he preceded her in death in June of 1965.

Emily attended Taylorville High School. She was a homemaker and a seamstress, and enjoyed sewing, baking, and oil painting. Emily was a long-time member of the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ

She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Thomas A. Hurelbrink; sisters, May Babbs, Dovie Blankenship, Alice Andersen, and Ruth Hjort; and brothers, Clarence and Fredrick Heath.

Emily is survived by her children, Gary (wife, Linda) Nesvacil of Wisconsin Dells, WI, and Susan (husband, Paul) Hurelbrink of Mt. Auburn, IL; grandchildren, Gary Nesvacil II, Ed Nesvacil, Krista Nesvacil, Melinda Morgan, and Jesse Pettis; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ, 128 W. Church St., Mt. Auburn, IL 62547 with Pastor Dan Armstrong officiating.

Inurnment will be accorded at a later date at Fowler Cemetery, in Elroy, WI.

Mary Janiece Durham

Mary Janiece Durham, 87 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 5:13 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born on May 20, 1931 in Kincaid, IL the daughter of William and Alberta (Avery) Mosley. She married Russell “Rusty” Eugene Durham on April 16, 1949 in Kincaid, IL and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2018. Janiece played the church organ for many years and was a member of Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville. She loved knitting, crocheting, sewing, playing the piano and spending time with family.

She is survived by her Sons: William Durham of Taylorville; Robert Durham of Texas; James Durham of Arizona; Daughters: Mary and Donna Durham both of Taylorville and Brenda Durham of Pana, IL; Grandchildren: Jason Durham of Taylorville; Jennifer Durham of Wapella, IL; Seth Durham of Texas; Michael and Misty Durham of Arizona; Joseph Kilhoffer and Hamilton Norris of Alaska; Caleb Sexson of Decatur, IL and Jacob Sexson of Texas; Ten Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband, Brother: James Mosley, Sister: Sandra McArdle.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Bill Kerns officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

Gary Kuntzman

Gary Kuntzman, 68 of Taylorville, died peacefully at 11:07 a.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. 


Gary was born on March 18, 1950 in Taylorville, the son of Lester “Bud” and Nanette (Flanders) Kuntzman. He married JoAnn Masulis on March 7, 1969 in Nokomis, and she survives. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the VFW, the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. Gary was also a dedicated Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Gary worked as a Civil Engineer, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Above all, Gary adored spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his family as much as they loved him, and he will be dearly missed. 


Along with his loving wife JoAnn, Gary is survived by their children: Steve Kuntzman of Mt. Auburn; James (fiancée Brandi Bess) Kuntzman of Mt. Auburn; Chris (Karen) Kuntzman of Taylorville; Kelly (Zach) Green of Cape Girardeau, MO; eleven grandchildren: Cody, Lacey, Quentin, JT, Kyle, Karlee, Liam, Nolan, Harper, Morgan, and Tommie; and two great grandchildren: Parker and Ellie; his father: Bud Kuntzman; three siblings: Dave (Linda) Kuntzman of Springfield; Kathy Kuntzman of Taylorville; Scott (Beth) Kuntzman of Stonington; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nanette Kuntzman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: James & Josephine Masulis; one niece: Jennifer Harrison; and one cousin: David Miles.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 17, 2018 at McClure Funeral Home with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will take place in Fraley Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 - 7:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.

 

Memorial may be made in his honor to: The First United Methodist Church Building Fund or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Jesse Michael Franklin

Jesse Michael Franklin, 46 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Health Care Center in Pana, IL. He was born on September 30, 1972 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Jesse Thomas and Carole (Hoffland) Franklin. Jesse worked as a welder for several different companies through the years.


He is survived by his Sons: Jesse Eric Franklin of Grand Forks, ND two Grandchildren; Father: Jesse Thomas (Lucille) Franklin of Taylorville, IL; half-Sisters: Christine and Terri Jo; step-sisters: Vickie (Jerry) Williams of Rochester, IL; Kim (Pat) McGriff of Murphysboro, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and aunts. He was preceded in death by his Mother, grandparents: Jess and Grace Franklin, Stanley and Lou Hoffland, Uncles: Gillis, Bill and Mike Franklin, Step-Brother: Mark Loreth.


Jesse will be cremated and the family will have graveside a graveside service at a later date.

Lucia Jean Baietto

Lucia Jean Baietto, 86, of Forsyth, IL and Ft. Myers, FL passed away on Monday December 10, 2018 at 8:50 a.m. in her home in Forsyth. Lucia was born November 6, 1932 in Kincaid, IL, the daughter of Dominic and Mary Calcaterra.   She then married Joseph D. Baietto on June 21, 2002 in Brookfield, IL. Lucia went on to obtain a teaching degree and was an elementary school teacher.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Decatur, IL.


She is survived by her husband Joseph of Forsyth, IL, a daughter Julie Jeffress and friend Dave Van Stedum of Mt. Zion, IL, Step-son Joe T. (Lori) Baietto and two step-daughters Debbie (Jim) Wiley, and Janette (Doug) Taylor all of Mt. Zion, IL, 3 nieces Kathleen (husband Dennis) Foli of Kincaid, IL., Shelia Zajac MI and Michelle Kogler of OR. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Charles Jeffress, a sister Louise Paso, and 2 brothers John and Jacob V. Calcaterra.


Funeral Services for Lucia will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid, IL on Friday, December 14 at 11:00 am with Father John Burnette officiating.  Visitation for Mrs. Baietto will be held from 10 am to 11 am at St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid.

Victoria Louise Havera

Victoria Louise Havera, 88 of Coalton passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 1:23 a.m. at her residence in Coalton. She was born on July 5, 1930 in Coalton, IL the daughter of Mike and Anna (Vanach) Novak. She married Albert “Birdie” Havera on December 17, 1949 in Montgomery County, IL and he preceded her in death on November 27, 1994.

 

She worked as a clerk for the Secretary of State and she was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL.
Surviving are her Children: Mike (Cherie) Havera, Kay (Ken) Cook, Maryann (Tony) Fox, James (Tricia) Havera all of Nokomis and Debra (Terry) Schulte of Fillmore; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Anne Potakar and brother: Frank Novak.  

 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL with Father Albert Allen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis.

She was born on July 5, 1930 in Coalton, IL the daughter of Mike and Anna (Vanach) Novak. Marcia Beaman

Mrs. Marcia Beaman, 65, of Taylorville, IL passed from this life surrounded by her loving family at 5:40 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.


She was born September 1, 1953 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of John B. and Helen I. (Pop) Perozzo. Marcia married Randy Beaman February 19, 1972 in Kincaid, IL and they enjoyed 46 wonderful years together. Mrs. Beaman was a 1971 graduate of Kincaid High School; she worked for over 20 years at Illini Bank and 5 years at Midland Community Bank, Kincaid.  Marcia was a member of the Loyal Order of The Moose Lodge 1516 Chapter 1263, Taylorville, IL.  She loved traveling, boating at Lake Taylorville, and she especially loved spending time with her family.


Survivors include: her loving husband Randy Beaman of Taylorville, IL, 2 daughters Heidi (husband Todd) Durbin and Trina (husband Jeff) Fry all of Taylorville, IL, grandchildren Shane Lucas and companion Olivia Darnell, Nolan Lucas and companion Morgan Endris, Lexus Fry, Hunter Fry, Peyton Stark, Lilee Durbin, adopted grandson Brandon Rickman, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, an aunt, her mother-in-law Donna Beaman of Taylorville along with several nieces, nephews and a great many friends.


Mrs. Beaman was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Glenn “Bud” Beaman, and a brother-in-law Scott Beaman.

Jean E. Reincke

Jean E. Reincke, 91 of Nokomis passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on March 6, 1927 in Pana, IL the daughter of Glenn and Fern (Johnson) Ryan. She married Louis E. Reincke on December 19, 1945 in Fairview Church in Rural Nokomis, IL and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2011. She was a lifetime homemaker, office manager at Specification Stone Company in Pana where she retired in 1989 after 20 years and for WJLY Christian Radio Station in Ramsey after 6 years. She was a member of South Fork United Methodist Church and Women of Faith at South Fork United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis with Rev. Ric Miles officiating.

 

Burial will be held in Kettelkamp Cemetery in rural Nokomis.

Donald G. Smith

Donald G. Smith, 77 of Springfield formerly of Taylorville passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 12:55 p.m. at his home in Springfield, IL. He was born on November 2, 1941 in Morrisonville, IL the son of Ernest and Mary M. (Deon) Smith. He married Betty Harvell on June 29, 1976 in Las Vegas, NV and she preceded him in death on August 27, 2012. Donald worked as a coal miner and he was a truck driver.


He is survived by his Sisters: Helen Barding of Taylorville, IL; Mary Kelley of Wood River, IL; Joyce Lutchka of Petersburg, IL; step-Sons: Tom Harvel of Taylorville, IL; Steven “Zeke” Harvel of Oregon; step-Daughters: Cherilyn Mundhenke of Morrisonville, IL; Christine Painter of Las Vegas, NV; Kathleen Hemmer of Oregon; Melissa Randolph of Texas;

Grandchildren: Mark Allen and Matthew Randolph of Texas and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Harold, Ernest, Clayton, Victor and Glenn Smith; Sisters: Reba Best, Louise Mrotzek, Roseane Mefford, Betty Neikes.


Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Father Albert Allen officiating. Inurnment will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville, IL with military graveside honors.

Elsie Mae Godbey

Elsie Mae Godbey, 97, of Edinburg, Illinois, died on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her home. Elsie was born in Blue Mound, Illinois on May 1, 1921, to John Thornton and Etta Belle Buchter. She was the sixth of seven children. She attended the Blue Mound Public Schools. After her high school graduation, Elsie worked as a Dental Assistant to Dr. “Doc” Jordan in Blue Mound. Elsie married Thaxton “Red” Godbey on July 27, 1947. After her marriage, Elsie was a homemaker and became a bus driver for the Edinburg School District, until she retired at age 70.

 

Elsie is survived by her son, Gregory Godbey, Edinburg, IL, daughter, Susan (Douglas) Higgason, Edinburg, IL; grandchildren, Breezi (Brad) Davis of Cantrall, IL, Lacee Higgason, Springfield, IL; great-grandchildren, Tinsley DeClerck, Pearl Davis, Ezra Davis, and Abilene Davis, Cantrall, IL. Her parents, her husband, Red Godbey, and her grandson, Blake Aaron Higgason, two brothers, LaVerne and Dellas, and three sisters, Velma, Violet, and Dessie, preceded her in death. Her sister, Norma Hartwig of Springfield, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

 

Elsie was a lifelong member of the Edinburg United Methodist Church where she took an active role in the United Methodist Women’s group. She and other members of the UMW were faithful in the preparation and serving of funeral luncheons of members of the Church as well as their families. Elsie spent many hours knitting items to be sold at the Church bazaars. She greatly enjoyed the time she and the other women of the Church spent helping others. Elsie was loved by the neighborhood children who would recount stories of playing in her big yard after school and during the summer. Elsie was often seen throwing baseballs for the players and joining in other activities, as the children loved the time she would spend with them. She also spent many hours with her granddaughters, Breezi and Lacee, watching them after school. Her apple trees were the talk of friends who enjoyed the fruit for pie making and other special bakery treats.

 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Sutton Memorial Home, 327 N. Clay Street, Taylorville, IL. The funeral will begin immediately following visitation with Reverend Calab McGregor and Reverend Ray Radee of the Edinburg United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Sharpsburg, IL. 

 

Memorials may be given to the Edinburg United Methodist Church in Elsie Godbey’s memory.

Dennis A. Sanders

Dennis A. Sanders Sr., 67 of Taylorville passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 5:17 a.m.at his home in rural Taylorville, IL. He was born on August 11, 1951 in Taylorville, IL the son of Paul H. and Natalie A. (Porter) Sanders. He married Debbie Anderson on June 23, 1974 in Grove City, IL. Dennis was a farmer, he worked at Taylorville Feed and Fertilizer and he was a member of the Kincaid Church of God.


He is survived by his Wife: Debbie Sanders of Taylorville, IL; Sons: Dennis Sanders Jr. (Fiancé Cristin O’Connor) of Morrisonville, IL; Chad Sanders (Wife Erin) of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Wyatt Sanders, Aryonna Sanders, Shaylie Sanders, K’dyn Lawson, Marques Lawson; Sister: Paula Lenger of Michigan; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Darrel Sanders.

Jean Wilson

Jean Wilson, 90 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 1:34 p.m. at Life’s Journey Senior Living Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on July 29, 1928 in Tracy City, TN the daughter of Arvad Clayton and Veola Mae (Shrum) Gibbs. She married Richard Thomas Wilson Sr. on February 29, 1948 in Taylorville and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2015. Jean worked as the Senior Underwriter for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Davis Memorial Christian Church, Taylorville Eastern Star and the White Shrine. She loved reading, watching the Chicago Cubs, the great-grandchildren’s activities and the Taylorville Tornadoes.


She is survived by her Son: Richard Thomas (Carol) Wilson Jr. of Cumming, GA; Grandchildren: Laura (Steve) Benson of Mt. Vernon, NY, Heather (Jeb) Odam of Taylorville, IL and Maureen (Arby) Wise of Carlinville, IL; Great-Grandchildren: Robert, John and Lucas Benson, Ava and Baron Odam and Ella and Beau Wise; Brothers: Chris Edward Gibbs of Urbana, IL, Lynn (Jayne) Gibbs of St. Charles, MO; Sisters-in-Law: Madelyn Eson of Taylorville, IL; Beverly (Joseph) Susnig of Jerseyville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Doris Jean Oller

Doris Jean Oller, 82 of Taylorville, passed away at 8:12pm on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Life’s Journey Senior Living in Taylorville.  She was born on January 7, 1936 in Morrisonville, the daughter of William Klinger and Ruby Ilene (Schmedeke) Friedrich.  She married Roy Dale Oller on May 8, 1955 in the First Baptist Church in Taylorville.  He preceded her in death on August 5, 2014.  Doris worked as a secretary at the Christian County TB Office and was a member of the Taylorville First United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, sewing, baking, bowled for over 40 years, and loved spending time with her family.  

She is survived by her daughters: Karen Fishel (Warren Kelly) and Susan Hayes (David) both of Taylorville; son: David Oller (Jamie) of Kincaid; grandchildren: Heather Overstreet (Nick), Lindsay Barlow (Leroy), Christina Scheina (Patrick), Megan (Nick Elder) Oller, and Hailey Oller; great-grandchildren: Amelia Overstreet, Ruby Jean Barlow, and Colton Scheina; sister: Judy Bragg (Don) of Taylorville; and sister-in-law: Delores Friedrich.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: Robert Friedrich and Larry Friedrich.

A memorial service for Doris will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev.
